Club Within A ClubFireRock Country Club is proud to introduce our "Clubs within a Club" concept. In the FireRock Country Club Community of Members, we have a 400 member base who share many different yet common interests besides golf, tennis, fitness and dining. Members from many different walks of life findy many common areas of interest and it will be through the "Clubs within a Club" concept that we can bring these fellow members together to share these experiences. Please watch for the list of "Clubs with a Club" to continue developing. FireRockers"FireRockers" have enjoyed a decade of history at FireRock Country Club. The "ageless" group of golfers continue to play every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from October through May under the supervision of the "commissioners" for each day of play. Commissioners, Al Koehlinger, Frank Bell and Glen Churchill determine the game for the day and keep the records that are compiled and shared at the annual spring tournament and dinner. The Annual dinner which includes spouses began in 2005 in memory of Gary Connelly and recognizes those past FireRockers and the achievements for the year. The "FireRockers welcome outside guests for play which often includes members of our professional staff joining in on the weekly games. Some of the hi-lites over the past decade include the following: low gross (73), most putts on a hole (6), low net (56), Best Ball foursome (-36), Quota game (+28), Scramble (net 51), Hole in One by FireRockers (15). The "FireRockers" also enjoy couples events on Thursday afternoons and Sundays for those that like to have another format for golf competition. The afternoon sessions usually conclude around cocktails and dinner for the group.
